Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Work setting: Hotel, motel, resort
Tasks: Estimate amount and costs of supplies and food items, Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales and inventory
Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets, Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food, Inspect kitchens and food service areas, Organize buffets and banquets, Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, Clean kitchen and work areas, Manage kitchen operations, Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
