Responsibilities
Tasks
Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops
Fertilize and spray crops
Harvest crops
Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
Prepare land for planting including soil cultivation, tilling, and bed formation
Plant, transplant, and maintain berry and vegetable crops
Install and monitor drip irrigation systems
Apply fertilizers, compost, and soil amendments as directed
Spray crops for pest and disease control following farm safety procedures
Prune and train cane berries (raspberries, blackberries, etc.)
Weed crops manually and mechanically
Harvest crops by hand, ensuring quality standards are met
Sort, grade, and package produce for fresh market and retail sale
Load and unload produce and farm supplies
Operate and perform basic maintenance on farm machinery and equipment
Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment
Follow food safety and farm safety regulations
Assist with trellis installation and field maintenance
Clean up after yourself , keep your housing clean inside and out
Apply beneficial insects for pest management
