KidiKare Early Learning Centre specializes in children aged from birth to 12 years. We provide children with opportunities that support all areas of their early childhood education and physical, nutritional, social, emotional, and cognitive development. Job Description:
Position: Early Childhood Educator Assistant
Vacancy: 1
Working Hours: 35 – 40 hours per week
Wage: 22.50 CAD per hour
Benefits: Health Benefits – after 6 months employment.
Job Offer Type: Full-time, Permanent
Work location: 1315 Lawson Ave, West Vancouver, BC. V7T 2E6
Main duties:
– Assist co-workers in housekeeping and cooking duties
– Maintain daycare equipment
– Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical,cognitive, emotional and social development of children
– Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records
– Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts
– Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
– Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
– Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
– Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
Job Requirement:
License: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Assistant Certificate
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Experience an asset
Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Immunization Records
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking
Personal Suitability: Punctuality, Excellent oral communication, Values and ethics, Reliability, Flexibility, Team player
Work Setting: Child care centre
