Job Overview
- Develop policies and administer programs to promote business investment in Canadian and international market .
- Design market research questionnaires
- Conduct social or economic surveys on local, regional or national and international areas to assess development potential and future trends
- Plan development projects and coordinate activities with representatives of international markets.
- Assess global business opportunities and develop strategies to attract venture capital.
- Respond to enquiries from members of the international business community and public concerning development opportunities.
- Review and evaluate global commercial proposals and provide advice on procedures and requirements.
- Conduct surveys and analyze data on the buying habits and preferences of wholesale or retail consumers
- Evaluate customer service and customer feed backs
- Conduct research on consumers, competitors and the market place to identify trends to optimize marketing strategies for local and international markets.
- Analyze promotional and global marketing campaigns to identify improvements
- Prepare reports, research papers, educational texts or articles
- Develop and apply E-commerce strategies
- Provide consultation on planning and starting of new businesses nationally and internationally.
Employment requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, commerce, business administration is required.
- Minimum 5 years of international business development experience
- Bilingual (English and French)
- Willing to travel nationally and internationally to explore new opportunities
