Job Overview

  • Develop policies and administer programs to promote business investment in Canadian and international market .
  • Design market research questionnaires
  • Conduct social or economic surveys on local, regional or national and international areas to assess development potential and future trends
  • Plan development projects and coordinate activities with representatives of international markets.
  • Assess global business opportunities and develop strategies to attract venture capital.
  • Respond to enquiries from members of the international business community and public concerning development opportunities.
  • Review and evaluate global commercial proposals and provide advice on procedures and requirements.
  • Conduct surveys and analyze data on the buying habits and preferences of wholesale or retail consumers
  • Evaluate customer service and customer feed backs
  • Conduct research on consumers, competitors and the market place to identify trends to optimize marketing strategies for local and international markets.
  • Analyze promotional and global marketing campaigns to identify improvements
  • Prepare reports, research papers, educational texts or articles
  • Develop and apply E-commerce strategies
  • Provide consultation on planning and starting of new businesses nationally and internationally.

Employment requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, commerce, business administration is required.
  • Minimum 5 years of international business development experience
  • Bilingual (English and French)
  • Willing to travel nationally and internationally to explore new opportunities
