· Must be available to work any shift including, Day, Early Morning, Evening, Morning, Weekends and holidays.

Overview
Languages: English
Education: completion of a related College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year OR equivalent experience
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the food service sector, including supervisory experience, are required.
On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Responsibilities and Tasks
· Ensure a smooth service process in the banquet area.
· Coordinating, and executing events for large groups including selecting menus, setting up banquet rooms, and ensuring guests have a great experience.
· Plan and organize and evaluate daily operations in banquet and catering division.
· Analyze budget to boost and maintain the profits in banquet and catering division.
· Monitor revenues to determine labour cost.
· Train staff.
· Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms.
· Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations.
· Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
· Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities
· Participate in marketing plans and implementation.
· Provide customer service
· Manage events.
· Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets and specialty functions.
· Plan for VIP arrangements.
· Co-ordinate work activities with other departments by Communicating with chefs, stewards, guests, and other departments.
· Ensure presentations including proper centerpieces and clean china, glass, and silver.
· Set tables according to the event and service standards and Receive customers’ reservations and assign tables.
· Greet customers, serve food and beverage to guests throughout the event.
· Handle complaints, analyze feedback, and ensure guests are satisfied.
· Any other duties as required.
