Wage: $25.00 per hour
Number of positions: 01 full -time, permanent position.
Working schedule: 8.30 – 5.00pm, Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative duties:
• Manage residents’ appointment calendars and coordinate with healthcare providers.
• Provide general information to residents and visitors about care home services and administrative procedures.
• Maintain, update, and organize residents’ files and electronic health records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with office policies.
• Handle incoming phone calls and emails, facilitating communication between residents, social workers, and healthcare providers.
• Attend staff and care team meetings, prepare meeting minutes as needed.
• Order and maintain office and medical supplies to support the care home’s daily operations.
• Assist care aides, home care nurses, and other staff with administrative tasks.
• Coordinate referrals from social work departments and hospitals across Saskatoon, supporting the intake process for new residents.
• Assist with invoice processing, payment records, and financial documentation organization.
Qualifications:
• College diploma in business administration, office administration, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of previous clerical or administrative experience, preferably in a healthcare or senior care setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Customer service-oriented
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Capability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
• Basic understanding of Saskatchewan healthcare regulations and available senior subsidies.
• Proficient in medical software and electronic record-keeping systems.
