Position summary
We’re looking for a hands-on warehouse Supervisor to take the lead of the warehouse team for this permanent position, keep our inventory organized and our shipments/deliveries coming and going smoothly.
Responsibilities Include:
– Coordination with transport companies, suppliers and clients
– Scheduling orders using our inventory management software (cin7)
– Planning and devising routes for the delivery staff
– Training, supervising and appraising staff
– Responsible for annual inventory counts
– Assisting management on planning for incoming shipments
– Overseeing incoming shipment
– Preparing and submitting reports and administering stock control
– Meeting with the management team for weekly logistics discussions
– Assisting with local deliveries as well as loading and unloading trucks
– Ensuring delivery deadlines are met in a safe manner
– Maintaining an organized warehouse space
– Communicating with sales staff on stock/inventory discrepancies
Experience and education
– Minimum of high-school diploma
– Prior experience with warehousing software preferable (Experience with Cin7 software considered an asset)
– One to three years of related warehousing experience
– Valid, full class 5 driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
– Experience driving a lift truck
– Assembly of furniture when required
